Enterprise demands more
AVRI acknowledges that entrepreneurship is not only about creating economic value, but that it can also substantially contribute to the solution of social issues, in particular within, but also outside of, the Rivierenland region.
Therefore sustainability and social responsibility, in addition to efficiency, are important aspects when determining the AVRI organisation policy.
Efforts rewarded
By adapting our business operations, we have already been able in various ways to make a positive contribution to social and environmental objectives. Our efforts in this area were rewarded and promoted in 2006 with the first prize for Sustainable Enterprise Rivierenland.
Permanent challenge
But there is more to be gained. By entering into a partnership with MVO Nederland (an organisation that promotes corporate social responsibility) and by signing the MVO manifesto, AVRI underlines its intention to continually actively respond to the principles of corporate social (and sustainable) responsibility.
