Duty of care for waste
AVRI is responsible for ensuring that these municipalities respond optimally with respect to their duty of care for waste. This duty of care comprises the collection and (arranging the) processing of the domestic refuse flows, the development of the municipal waste materials policy and the communication in the area of waste.
In addition, AVRI manages and operates the processing location the Meersteeg, a landfill and four 'milieustraten', which are publicly accessible locations for separated waste collection.
